windows out of disk space- backup solution

http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/images/low/bartpe.jpgI had a problem on my laptop yesterday; Windows XP Home Edition crashed. I believe the main problem was that the hard drive was full. On booting, the nice BSOD came up. I also had a Windows 2000 professional installed on the same machine, and it crashed too with the same colored window.

windows ftp tunnel: two push and pull *.bat scripts

Most likely you hardly ever need to synchronize a local windows folder to some FTP directory. Even if you do need to do this, there are a bunch of utilities out there already that make this task easy. One example is netdrive, a really useful tool. In case you don't have administrative rights, or care to do things the geek way and have more control, here's two simple BAT scripts that can help you.

gmail: do all links have to open in a new window?

Despite Gmail fighting Greasemonkey scripts, or locking greasemonkey users away, I wonder if people would still be willing to write fixes for gmail usability issues. One problem I noticed is that, not matter what, all links in all emails open in a new window. This contradicts Adsense, which is kind of external focused and still succeeded in not implementing a setting for opening links in a new window after so many years.
