famous vista sound
There's a lot of debates now about the new vista startup sound; seems that it's impossible to turn it lower/off. slashdot users help the cause spread as usual, while the (pretty loud; and ugly?) startup sound makes its way accross the web.
Since the rules of the market are that users always win, it might be just a marketing strategy from microsoft to get people like me to get interested into the startup process and eventually adopt vista. I didn't even care before about it; and probably wouldn't have cared soon.
